Mutts in Distress, Bishops Stortford – Mutts in Distress is an animal shelter located at Normandale Kennels, in Little Hallingbury near Bishops Stortford on the Hertfordshire / Essex border. We rescue dogs from local pounds that would otherwise be destroyed, and offer them for rehoming.

There is always a list of dogs awaiting rehoming on our website, and many of these dogs are featured because none of them were wearing ID discs when picked up and when scanned, none were microchipped. So, whether you are thinking of adopting a dog or already have one of your own, look after your dog and get him microchipped – that way he will be returned to you if he strays. Dogs must wear ID tags by law. If you are interested in adopting any of the dogs on our website, please get in touch with us.
