Animal Rescue Cumbria

Animal Rescue Cumbria, Kendal – Founded in 1972 Animal Rescue Cumbria is a well-established rescue which takes in and rehomes over 100 dogs and 180 cats and kittens every year. Some of these animals are strays, some have been abandoned and others have been surrendered by owners who were unable to keep them, for one reason or another. We need your help in offering them new homes.

Our Mission is to take in unwanted and lost cats and dogs, provide a secure and caring environment and to help all our animals find permanent, new homes. We also aim to provide support and guidance for pet owners and increase the public’s awareness of their responsibility towards animals. Seeing people visiting our kennels can be stressful for some dogs, so our dog homing appointments take place outisde. When dogs first come into our care they go through a period of assessment with our team. This process helps us to find the best possible home for each dog by understanding their individual needs.
