Fir Tree Pets Hotel 

The Fir Tree Pets Hotel is a combined kennels and cattery located in the Somerset countryside at Blakeway, near Wedmore. Set in 5 acres of beautiful and unspoiled countryside, we share our home with our dogs, cats, horses and array of small animals. We have 19 kennels, set in 3 blocks. One block is located next to the house; this is the block we use for special guests that can find the kennel environment a little daunting, such as older dogs, puppies, first timers, nervous dogs and our tiniest of guests. Our kennels accommodation is suitable for all breeds and sizes. Each dog enjoys spacious, cosy, warm and secure accommodation with hygienic bedrooms and large adjoining covered runs. Having a small number of kennels means each dog gets our undivided attention throughout the day. Dogs are walked at least twice a day either in our own paddocks or along the drove. We also have a exercise yard, often used for the larger breeds and families. Plenty of toys and comfortable bedding are provided, and owners are encouraged to bring their dogs’ favourite items, to help them settle in. We play soft and calming music in all the blocks, in order to create a soothing atmosphere.
